Brazilian Tangerine Quartz Cluster
A striking Tangerine Quartz crystal cluster from Brazil, displaying a rich, fiery orange colour across a dramatic formation of sharply terminated quartz crystals. The crystals range from translucent golden-orange to deeper burnt-orange tones, with a natural iron-rich coating that gives the specimen its distinctive colour and exceptional visual character.
The orange coloration is associated with iron oxide, particularly hematite, deposited on and around the quartz crystals. This is characteristic of Brazilian tangerine quartz and is distinctly different from citrine, where the yellow-to-orange colour is associated with colour centres and iron within the quartz itself.
The specimen has a beautiful natural contrast between the vivid orange crystal points and the pale mineral matrix at the base. Its combination of transparency, intense colour, crystal definition, and natural formation makes it an attractive collector's specimen.
