Large Hand axe

Lower Paleolithic Acheulean quartzite hand axe, was made and used by early humans of the primitive species Homo erectus ( Ergaster).

It was surface collected from an exposed lower Paleolithic Acheulian site in the Sahara desert of North Africa.
